Pokemon TCG News
[Scoots - Pokemon Village] [Comments  -  22]
I spent a good part of the weekend helping my 6 and 8 year old put decks together - their first battle drug on for over an hour, but they're getting the hang of it. My daughter tried a water deck, but had a poor choice of cards, and couldn't hold up against my son's psychic deck. Here's some recent news in the world of Pokemon TCG:

Pokémon Announces 2007 Battle Road Tournaments

Pokémon Players to Compete in Free Event Earning Premier Ratings; Potential Qualifiers Enter in the World Championships

BELLEVUE, Wash.—May 8, 2007—Pokémon USA, Inc., a worldwide leader in trading card games, today announced the Pokémon® Trading Card Game (TCG) Battle Road Tournaments. Prizes are awarded to the top two players in each age division. First-place winners will receive eight Pokémon booster packs, and a Victory Medal—Gold promo card. Drop me a line at scott (at) ripside (dot) com.

PV Topsites/Links Catalog Back Online
[Scoots - Pokemon Village] [Comments  -  11]
I've setup the Links Catalog service again - sometime over the last year we lost the domain "LinksCatalog.com", after letting it expire accidentally (the new owners snatched it up after less than 24 hours and are asking a ridiculous price for it now).

For now, the site is running at http://links.onebigvillage.com.

[Scoots - Pokemon Village] [Comments  -  7]
The people at Pokemon USA, Inc. keep pushing out the new products, this time it's an EX Collector's Tin, set to be released on March 21. Each tin will have four EX booster packs, two Power Keepers and one EX Delta Species and one EX Dragon Frontiers. They'll also throw in one of three cards from the new Diamond and Pearl set: Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup.

With three different designs, every 2007 Pokémon TCG: EX Collector’s Tin features a great window design for players to display their favorite card, and each comes with one of three foil Diamond & Pearl Pokémon cards that will give players and collectors a sneak-peek at the next highly anticipated Pokémon TCG expansion.

The Pokémon TCG: EX Collector’s Tins go on sale in stores March 21st, just in time for Easter gift-giving and are each priced at $12.99. Each of the four booster packs inside contains nine randomly inserted game cards.

As you might or might not notice, I'm getting more of the old sites back up. The PV Topsites, Speakout.onebigvillage.com, and OBV itself are all back online now. Comments will be OFF, until I get a graphical confirmation number feature added (which I've done on other sites). We won't turn comments back on until we can block some of the automated spamvertising. Scoots
